Royal Enfield is an Indian motorcycle manufacturing brand with the tag of "the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production" manufactured in factories in Chennai in India. Licensed from Royal Enfield by the indigenous Indian Madras Motors,it is now a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, an Indian automaker.The company makes the Royal enfield bullet, and other single cylinder motorcycles. First produced in 1901, Royal Enfield is the oldest motorcycle brand in the world still in production, with the Bullet model enjoying the longest motorcycle production run of all time.There is a wide range of royal enfield motorcycle available in market today which create confusion among buyers.There are total eight types of royal enfield as of now.Lets take a brief look at them to make it easier for you to choose one from.

1- Interceptor

• It has 18" spoked wheels with pirelli phantom sportscomp tubeless tyres.
• It has disc brakes in front and rear with dual channel ABS.
• Halogen headlamp with analogue speedometer and digital odometer with clock.
• Fuel injection system available.
• Fuel tank capacity is 12.5 ltrs.
• Fuel indicator is there in this bike.
• Only self start available no kick start option.

3-Himalayan

• This bike offers great on road and off road experience and is a great adventure bike.
• There is no competition to this bike in offroad experience at present in this price segment.
• This bike offers a mileage from 29 to 36 Kmpl as claimed by ARAI (Automotive research association of India)
• It is equipped with 411cc single cylinder 4 stroke engine with fuel injection system which gives 24.5 Bhp @6500 rpm.
• It has 5 gear box.
• It has spoke wheel with tube tyres (No tubeless)

4-Thunderbird

• The price of thunder bird ranges from 1.50 lakhs to 2.13 lakhs ex showroom delhi depending upon the model you choose.
• Thunderbird is available 350 std, 350 abs,500 std, 500 abs, 350x and 500x.
• Designed to accmodate saddle bag and carrier which is helpful on long rides.
• The mileage of thunderbird 350 is 40Kmpl and that of thunderbird 500 is 30 Kmpl.
• Fuel tank capacity is 20 ltrs which is good for long rides.
• It has both rear and front disc (Extra price to be paid for ABS)
• This is the only royal enfield which have LED projector lamps installed as stock which is great for highway rides.
• It has both Kick and self start.

5-Classic 350

• The price of classic 350 ranges from 1.39 lakhs to 1.63 lakhs ex-showroom delhi depending upon the model you choose from.
• This bike plays an important role in bringing back the royal enfield in market after a decade.
• The seats of this bike is unique and different as compared to any other bike seats in industry.

7-Bullet 350,500 and 350 electra

• The price of classic 350 standard is 1.18 lakhs, price of 350 electra is 1.34 lakhs and that of standard 500 is 1.64 lakhs ex showroom delhi.
• The 350 gives a mileage of 40kmpl and 500 gives 30 kmpl as claimed by ARAI.
• This the basic model of royal enfield and is highly customiseable.
• 350 offers a power of 20.7 ps @5250 rpm and 500 gives 27.57 ps @5250rpm which is similar to same size classic models.
• 350 cc bike is equipped with carburetor and 500 cc with fuel injection system.
• 350 cc standard do not have self starter 350 cc electra and 500 cc std have self starter and kick.
• all the three models have spokes with tube tyres tubeless not available.
• All three models dont have fuel indicator
• Instrument cluster have analogue speedometer and amp meter.
• ABS option is available only in standard 500 for which you have to pay 20k extra.
• Colour options available in standard500 are Jet black and Forest green.
• Colour options available in bullet 350 electra are black, maroon and silver.
• There is only black colour available in standard 350.

8-Bullet works trials 350 and 500

• Price of 350 cc is 1.62 lakhs and that of 500 cc is 2.07 lakhs ex showroom delhi.
• Both the models share engine specs and mielage with their respective standard models.
• Handle bars are raised for comfortable off roading experience while standing or sitting.
• This bike is purely made for biking in extreme situations.
• A luggage carrier is provided in place of pillon seat for carrying luggage on long journey.
• Up swept silencer is provided for off roading.
• Provided with swing arm suspension.
• Bullet trials 350 is available in Red colour and 500 is available in Green colour.
• It have head lamp protection grill as stock feature.
• ABS made a standard feature in this bike.
